during a break at the sea front.		 BasOp welcomes new performing or singing members at the start of its concert or show seasons. New performing members are welcome early in each new year for the show itself which is presented in late May or early June, and in early autumn for the concerts that are held at the end of November and early December.

Membership of BasOp is available separately for those wishing to participate in shows or concerts.

Those entering membership for the first time may be required to pass a simple singing audition.

A small annual fee is payable depending upon the class of membership to be entered into.

The societies' main rehearsal night is Tuesday evenings.

For the current 2007 concert season rehearsals will be on Tuesdays at 8:00 PM at Kingswood Community Centre.

From time to time it may be necessary to restrict the numbers of new memberships available in order to contain the size of the company within the capacity of performance venues available to us.

Those wishing to pay their subscription by credit card, debit card or PayPal can do so here (you will pay the £50 fee plus £2 for card handling costs)

Members should also subscribe to this e-mail list which will be used to advise of relavent news and changes.
BasOp is itself a member of The National Operatic and Dramatic Association and the National Federation of Music Societies, and is supported by Basildon District Arts Association.
